2008 EBook Trends - It's Official - It's Now an Industry

The number of eBooks available on the Internet now has grown to enormous proportions. Why, well, it is simple really, folks desire to share their knowledge and express themselves. Of course, there is another huge factor to this trend and that is the ease at which one can put their experience, observations and knowledge into the eBook format.
Word Processing programs like Microsoft Word and others allow folks to write their work, format it and then save it into a .pdf file, which is perfect for downloading on the Internet. Additionally, there are entrepreneurs who have entered the scene and can offer expert help in editing, formatting and graphic work. Others have developed easy to use templates making eBook writing extremely easy to do. In fact, last year, I wrote 10 eBooks and plan to do some more.
There are also websites that you can post your eBook and sell it, some share the profits with you and others are for folks who want to give their information away on Free eBook Websites. Many eBook writers are using their work to attract clientele to their websites or to enhance their expert status through informational low-pressure sales techniques and its working well for them.
Some of the eBook websites out there have 10 to 20 thousand eBooks available and they say this is not longer a trend, it is an industry. The search engines are quite generous to many of these websites in ranking these eBooks and there are even specialized eBook search engines now to help you find just what you need, often at no charge.
